As you might expect, “business as usual” is evolving at the Foster School of Business. In response, the alumni engagement team joined the world of online events and launched Lunch & Learn w/Foster: A Webinar Series.
The series kicked off Friday, April 10 with a timely discussion on how to prepare for an unexpected hospital stay and the important documentation everyone should have ready, featuring Vanessa Brewster Laughlin (MBA 2007), founder of Banister Advisors, LLC™, Sarah Bowman, Partner at K&L Gates, and Robin Shapiro, founder of Health Perspectives Group.
The panel covered how advance care planning can make a critical difference in health outcomes, how to prepare for a potential trip to the hospital, and even how to approach the ‘talk’ with family members who would prefer to avoid that kind of conversation. A number of useful online resources were also mentioned, many of which can be found on the Banister Advisors website.
